Look!

We revamped the salon’s courtyard this weekend.

Well, not exactly “we”…

Kim Lukasik, owner of Van der Zon Decor, and stylist at Beauty on Robertson, did an amazing job totally revamping the common courtyard at 239 S. Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills this past Sunday.

We wanted to minimize the amount of watering, and care the courtyard needed so we could do our part in reducing energy and water usage.

Kim suggested that we make the courtyard environmentally friendly by using only succulents.

Succulents store water in their leaves, stems and roots, thus requiring less water. These plants are pretty much indestructible. Succulents prefer bright light and are extremely tolerant to cold weather.

Succulents should be watered regularly in the summer months, and in the colder months you can water every two (2) weeks to once a month!
