Change can be good!

In Jenna’s case, it’s making a difference for her acting career. She’s standing out now and not blending in with the sea of blondes in this town.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being blonde, but it is good to change it up once in awhile and try a new look.

The beautiful chocolate brown hair color and side swept bangs really make her beautiful blue eyes stand out now.

I also added a couple more inches in length and lots of volume with hair extensions. Jenna loves the natural wave from the extensions they blend perfectly with her own hair.

Maria came to us with a grown out asymmetrical haircut and wanting a new look.

Instead of bleaching out  her own hair to create panels for peek a boo highlights, Denise inserted blonde hair extensions to create this effect.

Using hair extension panels protects against damage on finer hair that cannot withstand bleach.

Denise used HairDreams hair extensions to create this look.

Michael Herrera then re-styled her hair to create maximum volume, and create a sleek look for Maria.

Great Lengths Hair Extensions

When a client has thinner, finer hair, I usually opt to use Great Lengths Extensions.

They are extremely customizable with respect to the bonds. I can add more finer strands that do not appear bulky.

It is important to “load balance” the hair. To get a natural look, we want the top of the clients natural hair to match/blend with the extensions.

If the hair is thinner/finer on top, and the extensions are heavy and bulky, it becomes obvious that someone is wearing extensions.

Before we applied the extensions in this instance, we colored the client’s hair with an emphasis of blonding at the top, and rich browns underneath. The end result gives a hi-light/low-light effect.
